2016-2017 School programme

The extended and flexible education programme introduced last year for primary schools will continue for this academic year.  The programme features four sessions linked to the new curriculum with stated generic learning outcomes.  Our emphasis is on delivering a unique experience for pupils with opportunities to handle artefacts and role play.

Past Programme: 2009-2015 Schools Programme

The Mid-Antrim Museum is excited to launch its new and exciting schools programme. We have been working on a new education programme in consultation with teachers to meet the needs of the new curriculum. All the sessions are hands on and include handling museum objects.  The activities also incorporate a number of learning styles and active learning methods. These interactive sessions have been specially developed for the Mid-Antrim Museum's History Gallery and focus on the Distant Past and the Victorians. This is no ordinary schools programme!
