Admission: Free but booking is essential.
Ages: All welcome but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

What's it about?

Ralph Semple will guide the tour group at Slemish mountain to learn of the intense period of volcanic eruptions, millions of years ago, that formed the landscape and rocks of the Antrim plateau.  A visit to Raceview Mill, Broughshane, once a site of the woollen industry, where the mill and its artefacts have been restored. From 2pm to 4pm Donnell O’Loan will then take the tour group to see the former 19th century iron and aluminium ore mining area, in Glenravel. Return to Carnlough by Coast road for 5pm. Please wear suitable footwear for a little off-road walking.
